District Visit - Digha, Purba Medinipur
Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached Digha to review the preparations at the Jagannath Temple. Later she met the journalists and said that the formal inauguration of the temple would be held on the auspicious occasion of Mahayagna and Akshaya Tritiya. She informed that many devotees of Lord Jagannath from India and the world would come to West Bengal. She instructed the administrative officials to keep the transport system operational and free from vehicles. Hon’ble Chief Minister is hopeful that the newly built Jagannath temple will emerge as a symbol of West Bengal's new culture, tradition, development of spiritual consciousness and harmony.

District Visit - Medinipur College and Collegiate Ground, West Medinipur
Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was present in a public distribution programe at Paschim Medinipur. She extended the benefits of various government schemes and services to a huge number of people. She also inaugurated 25 water bowsers, each with a 14,000-litre tank, along with remote-controlled fire monitors for the newly established Dainhat Fire Station in Purba Bardhaman which will significantly strengthen the disaster preparedness and fire safety infrastructure of West Bengal. Hon’ble Chief Minister also inaugurated Eastern India’s largest solar power generation facility at Goaltore. The state-of-the-art plant was developed with the support of the German KfW Bank, she said.
