25-02-2026 Inauguration and Foundation Laying of a Series of Projects across the State Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the Jain Manastambha and the Sant Kutiya Gurdwara gateway, enduring symbols of Bengal’s communal harmony and its abiding respect for every caste, creed, class, religion, and language. To empower students across West Bengal and to strengthen their access to education, Hon’ble Chief Minister launched the 12th phase of the Sabooj Sathi scheme, under which 12.56 lakh bicycles would be distributed, she said. She also inaugurated the newly constructed G+4 building of the Tollygunge Fire Station and flagged off four fire tenders along with 100 fire-extinguishing bikes to enhance the state’s disaster preparedness and rapid response capabilities. As part of the continued commitment to sustainable and people-centric public transport, Hon’ble Chief Minister also inaugurated 100 AC CNG buses and 20 non-AC CNG buses for the Transport Department.
